Bradley Lalonde - Member of Board of Management, General Director and Chief Investment Officer – Mr. Lalonde is co–founder of Vietnam Partners LLC. He founded the firm in October 2003 after completing a 25-year career in investment and corporate banking. He worked for Citibank Vietnam for 5 years as CEO from 1994 to 1999 and also was a Senior Credit Officer of Citibank. Mr. Lalonde headed Citibank’s corporate finance business in Vietnam and accomplished a number of major transactions working with leading state owned corporations. Mr. Lalonde also launched Citibank’s private equity initiative in Vietnam. He is a founding member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, and served as the organization’s Chairman. Prior to working in Vietnam, he held senior Citibank management positions in Tunisia, Turkey, Bahrain and Liberia. His extensive international banking experience has included general management, credit risk management, strategic planning, banking consultancy and marketing. Mr. Lalonde holds a Master degree in International Development Economics from Columbia University (1977) and an A.B. University of Michigan (1975).
Nguyen Nhan Nghia - Deputy General Director - Mr. Nghia has more than 14 years in the banking sector in Vietnam. He has assumed key positions in BIDV and the State Bank of Vietnam including lending, trade finance, project management, credit line management and investment management. He has monitored World Bank financed credit lines totaling US$300 million. This involved the assessment and monitoring of 21 Vietnamese commercial banks. He was also in charge of appraisal of loan applications and coordinating lending within the credit lines. Recently, he has successfully led the task force for establishing BIDV-Vietnam Partners Investment Management JV Company and raised US$69 million for the first closing of the Vietnam Investment Fund. He obtained his Masters in Financial Economics at the University of London in 1996.
Vu Ngoc Anh – Senior Investment Officer – Ngoc Anh has more than 10 years of professional experience in the provision of financial advisory services in Vietnam and the UK. From 2000-2003 he was audit manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Guernsey, UK and responsible for the provision of audit and advisory services to several clients in the financial services sector.
Before joining BVIM, Ngoc Anh was a Senior Manager with PwC Hanoi, where he was responsible for financial and performance improvement advisory services. He was also involved in several engagements of diagnostic reviews, due diligence and restructuring of State-owned and private enterprises.

Le Xuan Dong - Investment Officer - Mr. Dong joined the Investment Manager’s investment team in September 2007 as an Investment Officer and is primarily responsible for the analysis, execution and monitoring of investment opportunities for the funds.

Nguyen Thi Hong Van - Investment Officer - Ms. Van has four years of professional experience in journalism, banking and accounting in
Prior to that, Mr. Hoang spent more than one year as the assistant to the Management Board of CMC Corporation, a leading Information Technology company in
Nguyen Thieu Son – Chief Accountant – Mr. Son has more than 9 years of banking experience within different roles including controller, accountant and chief accountant. He was chief accountant of Lao – Viet Joint-Venture Bank, BIDV’s Hau Giang Branch and Deputy Division Chief of BIDV’s accounting department, where he was in charge of monitoring tens branches’ accounting and finance operations.
Mr. Son attained his Bachelor of Banking at Hanoi National Economics University.
Tran Thi Hong Minh - Legal and Compliance Officer – Prior to BVIM Ms. Minh began her professional career as a legal consultant at Pham & Associates, a leading law firm in Vietnam and then at the Legal Department of BIDV. Ms. Minh was one of the first members of the BVIM team and her role was to organize the establishment of BVIM and assist in the initial capital raise for VIF. In this role she was in charge of the preparation of legal documents and liaison with related governmental authorities and agencies. Currently she supervises all legal, governmental policy and compliance issues.
Ms. Minh attained her Bachelor in Law in 2002 and Bachelor of Banking Finance in 2006.
Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong - Senior Marketing Officer - Prior to joining BVIM, Ms. Phuong served as an investment broker and advisor in BIDV Securities Company (BSC), one of leading securities companies in Vietnam. Her activities in BSC were: trading, preparing equitization plans, advising on IPOs, issuing and underwriting new deals. She successfully coordinated the issuing and underwriting of the EVN Bond offering in 2005 with the volume of VND 200 billion. She received her B.A from the Institute for International Relations majoring in International Relations and Vietnam Foreign Policy at Institute for International Relations (IIR) after receiving the Monbusho scholarship for best student of IIR from Japanese government.
Nguyen Thi Tu Anh - Marketing Officer - Ms. Tu Anh has two years experience in the banking and financial sector. Prior to her professional experience she completed an internship at Citibank in the Customer Services and Financial Institutions Department. Upon graduation she worked for VID Public Bank in Correspondent / Treasury Department where she was in charged of establishing bank relationship with regards to swift, money market and Forex transactions.
Ms. Tu Anh obtained her Master degree in Economics at Wollongong University, Australia in 2004.
Tran Quoc Bao - Investment Analyst - Mr. Bao has joined BVIM in November 2008. Prior to that, Bao was an analyst for the university’s investment fund as a member of the healthcare sector. This group oversaw all current sector holdings and explored new investment opportunities in areas such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical supplies and services. Before that, Bao interned at Citi Hanoi where he worked with the Securities and Funds Services department, which acted as a custodian for foreign investors entering the Vietnamese market. Bao graduated from Bryant University in Rhode Island, USA with a concentration in Finance.
