Vu Ngoc Anh, FCCA

Senior Manager, Investment and Portfolio Management

Ngoc Anh has been a Senior Manager since early 2006 in charge of investments principally in financial services, telecommunications, consumer goods and manufacturing industries. Prior to this position, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Vietnam and the UK for 10 years. As a Senior Manager at PwC Hanoi during 2003-2006, he was responsible for advisory services, including engagements of diagnostic reviews, due diligence and restructuring of local enterprises. Before that, he was an audit manager at PwC Guernsey, U.K. (2000-2003) in charge of clients in banking, insurance and investment management.  Ngoc Anh obtained his MBA from Edinburgh Business School and graduated Hanoi Banking Institute. He is currently a fellow of the UK Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Vietnam Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

 

Ho Thu Le, CFA

Senior Manager, Investment and Portfolio Management

Le joined BVIM in mid-2006 as an Manager and became a Senior Manager in 2009, managing investments in key sectors including seafood, food processing, woodwork, paper and pharmacy with active involvement in investee companies’ restructuring and efficiency improvement. Prior to that, she was Deputy Manager at InvestPro, providing investment and financial advisory services for various FDI and ODA projects in Vietnam covering retail, consumer goods, woodwork, medical & health care services and food processing sectors. Le used to be a lecturer in economics at the University of Civil Engineering and involved in project development and management activities with a focus on procurement and finance. She graduated from Hanoi Foreign Trade University at distinction grade and earned an M.A in Economics from Institute of Social Studies in The Hague (The Netherlands). Le is a CFA Charter Holder.

 

Le Xuan Dong

Manager, Investment and Portfolio Management

Dong joined the investment team in September 2007 as an Manager and is primarily responsible for the analysis, execution and monitoring of investment opportunities in real estate, mining, consumer goods and infrastructure. Dong has eight years of professional accounting and management experience with Deloitte Vietnam, including two years as audit manager. He was responsible for financial audit services to foreign invested enterprises, state owned enterprises (SOEs) and listed joint stock companies deriving from former SOEs in manufacturing, energy, insurance and hospitality industries. Dong earned his Master of International Accounting from Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) and a Bachelor of Accountancy from National Economics University (Vietnam). He is a Vietnam Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

 

Nguyen Thi Hong Van, CFA

Manager, Investment and Portfolio Management

Van joined the Company in December 2006, in charge of studying and following investment opportunities primarily in banking, insurance, rubber and consumer goods & franchising. Prior to this position, she has four years of professional experience in banking and accounting in Vietnam and Thailand. She worked for the Finance Department of the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand for two years as senior finance officer (2005-2006). She directly assisted the Chief Financial Officer in financial reporting and dealt with senior management of the Institute on finance issues. Before that, Van was International Banking Officer at the BIDV International Banking Department. Van obtained her Master in Finance from ESCP-EAP Paris, France (2005) and MBA in Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand (2004). She is a CFA Charter Holder since September 2010.

Do Lan Huong, CFA

Manager, Investment and Portfolio Management

Huong joined BVIM since January 2007. She’s in charge of studying and following investment opportunities in various industries including utilities, petro-chemical, plastic and transportation. Before that Huong had 2 years experience as Investment Officer at BIDV’s Investment Department where she was responsible for doing research and managing BIDV’s investments in various projects and companies. During her student years, Huong has won the golden prize in the prestigious “Lighting Young Business Talent” contest, organized by the Vietnam Business Association and the Youth Federation of Vietnam. Huong graduated from Hanoi Foreign Trade University at distinction grade and earned her MBA in Hanoi School of Business (HSB), National University of Vietnam (2010). Huong is a CFA Charter Holder.

 

Vu Thi Thuy Duong

Execution Officer / Analyst, Investment and Portfolio Management  

Duong joined BVIM since February 2011. She is in charge of investment execution. In addition, her responsibilities include providing support to research of  various industries including petro-chemical, seafood, and real estate.  Prior to BVIM, she was a graduate assistant in Child Development Academy of Marshall University. Duong graduated from Hanoi Foreign Trade University with a bachelor in International Business, and earned her master degree in Human Resource Management in Marshall University, USA (2010).
